STREET ART

The street art is a way to express many things trough the art we can see in every wall in the streets, in Honduras I think this art had had a big impact in the society because this shows the reality of the country, and poeple there is using the wall to send messages to the persons and to let them know that they are not agree with the bad things that are happening in the country.

ARE WE RACIST?

.

The video "Discriminacion en Colombia" shows the other face of what Colombians think about racism  and I think Mariana Randon would say that we are raccisst even though we say we are not. but sadly the reality shows other situation where the afrocolombian people have been marginalized. for that reason she also would say that we should respect each other and our differences because we  all  have the same human rights, This is in the only to see a real change in our country.

Colombians need to accept that this problem exists in the country because people can not still acting as nothing happens

CULTURE APPROPIATION.

There are some similarities and differences between the video of “Bangkok’s Mexican gangsters” and the culture appropriation.
First, the culture appropriation is the adaptation of some elements of one culture from another culture. This is the main similarity with the Bangkok’s Mexican style, because they adopt the clothing style and look from a Mexican subculture “The Mexican Gangsters”. In the next pictures you can see a Mexican Ganga and a Bangkok’s Mexican gangsters.

You can realize the way of dressing its the same in both groups, and that’s because they adopt it from the Mexican gangsters.
On the other hand, the difference I could watch is that they have not adopted this style for commercial purposes but for making themselves look cool because the way of dressing fits with their personality. Despite it, they don’t behave like the real Mexican gangsters.
In my personal opinion these people don’t identify with the dominant culture in their society and that’s why they have took the style of the Latin gangster just to look different. Also, I think they are trying to brake the stereotype of the Asians people and change their aspect.

A little about me!!!

Hello everybody,

My name is  Maria  Jose  Pineda, I’m 21 years old and It’s a pleasure to meet all of you too, through this blog I would like to share some things about me.

I was born in Barranquilla but I grew up in a town called Fundacion-Magdalena, This beautiful Town has the best memories of my childhood.

These lovely people are my family. My dad is a veterinarian, that's why I love dogs so much,  my mom is a teacher in a high school and my sister is Business administration student just like me.

Five years ago I decided to study business administration and now I’m in 9th semester, I’m doing my concentration in logistics which is very interesting for me because I feel fascinated about how the exports and imports work.

One of the things I enjoy the most is to visit new places and meet new people and learn about their cultures, That’s why traveling is my favorite thing to do in life, I try to travel every time I can, in the next pictures you will see the best moments of my trips.

The first one was in the United States when I was 15 years old, I asked for this to be my birthday gift, so I went to the Disney parks and Miami city.

My second trip was to Venezuela, I visited some cities there such as Caracas, Maracaibo, Maracay, Margarita's Island, Punto Fijo and Coro where there is a desert as the next picture will show.

The third trip was to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and this was one of my favorites trips because I went to a domestic zoo where I could feed and touch a tiger, an Elephant, a lion and a snake, it was scary and exciting at the same time.

The fourth trip was to England, this trip was totally different and amazing, this is an old and fascinating country, the people is very polite and interesting, London was my favorite part! It has such amazing places to visit and to learn about history.

Well, my last long trip was to Atlanta - USA, where I spent the last six months, this was the best experience of my life because I met wonderful people and had the chance to live and feel the american culture, I also went to Tennessee, Washington DC and NYC where I met my favorite actress, Dakota Fanning.

I really like to collect things, which is why I have a Hard rock cafe pin collection from each place I visit. In this picture show some of them.
